A South Korean Hacker Showed iPhone X Jailbreak on iOS 11.1.1

As of today, it has been around two weeks from the worldwide release of Apple’s latest iPhone X. Also, Apple released iOS 11 with the official release of their new iPhone products and there were some bugs in the 11th update. As a solution for these bugs, they released iOS 11.1 and then iOS 11.1.1 for the global iPhone, iPad and iPod touch users. However, if you are an iDevice user who has been actively waiting for iOS 11 jailbreak, no doubt this would be a great news for you. A few days ago, iOS hacker Liang Chen from Keen Lab has demonstrated the world’s very first iPhone X jailbreak running on iOS 11.1.1.

iPhone X jailbreak

He demoed iPhone X jailbreak at the POC 2017 event, a security and hacking conference which was held in South Korea. Clearly, all the visitors who attended this event were surprised after Liang Chen showing the new jailbreaking tool. Also, a video demonstration of iOS 11.1.1 jailbreak on iPhone X has published in the below of this article.

The First iPhone X Jailbreak from South Korea

You should know that this not the first jailbreak from the South Korean hacker Liang Chen. He has already demoed iOS 11 beta 2 and 10.3.2 Cydia download at the MOSEC 2017 event which was held in Shanghai, China. At the moment, we have insufficient details of the tool, but seemingly iOS 11.1.1 jailbreak is semi-untethered jailbreak same as the Pangu and Yalu jailbreaks which released recently.

By now, there’s no official name for this tool and the developer has not clearly mentioned that the jailbreak will be released to the public. However, what should we know that the Apple’s latest fixed minor update can be jailbroken. The vulnerabilities that used by the hacker Chen for iPhone X jailbreak, will be able to get for the most of the iOS 11 working iDevices.

Will iOS 11.1.1 Jailbreak Available for the Public?

It clearly shows us that the iOS 11.1.1 jailbreak demonstration was done only for the researching purpose. For sure, the hacker may not release it to the public even though the firmware can be broken. No worries at all because the developer from Keen Lab has already shown that 11th major firmware has vulnerabilities and it can be jailbroken. Same as the Liang Chen, the famous hacker like Pangu or TaiG will be able to find exploits and create a tool for iOS 11.1.1 Cydia download.

It has been around 9 months since the last official jailbreak release so, we wish the next solution for Cydia installer will be available soon.
